Very good and the service was great. I got the banana, strawberry, Nutella, buckwheat crepe (a good gluten free option). I didn't try the pastries but they looked good. The savory goat cheese, spinach, and mushroom crepe was also very tasty. The pricing was a little questionable.
Born in South Africa I just love this place! The savory crepes(Pannekoek) is amazing! Service is super fast and polite, welcoming and makes you feel so excited. The smell of fresh crepes are so comforting and the ambiance is like you are in Europe!
We stopped by on the way to Key West just after Christmas. The poor owner was the only one working in the whole restaurant -- taking orders, cooking, cleaning, ringing up, etc -- but he did an admirable job keeping up with the rush with a positive attitude and excellent food. Eventually another person came to help. We really enjoyed the crepes as well as the gluten-free option for someone in our party with an allergy.
The smell of fresh pastries when I walked in was a good sign that did not disappoint. I havent had a quiche in years - and the mushroom quiche was outstanding. Tasted husband's savory crepe - it was equally delicious (cheese, spinach). Portions were generous and the quiche came with a fresh salad. Coffee was full flavored. Of course we had to try croissants! Pan au chocolate and and almond croissant. Perfect flakey, butteryness. and fillings were spot on. Came back on our way out of town for more coffee and croissants - got plain croissant this time and it was my favorite.
Great cafe in Islamadora. The owner runs the shop very efficiently. The mushroom quiche was delicious and came with a large side salad. My friend enjoyed his spinach crepe (made fresh to order). The croissant was better than any I've had in Miami. Very good coffee too. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch in particular. Will be back for their house made Dijon mustard.
The Bistro is deceiving from the outside. It wasn't charming, until we walked inside. We tried it because we wanted to try something new on our way out of town. The owner was selling art on the walls throughout the cafe, it appeared to support local as well. The owner bakes specials daily. We tried a mushroom quiche, the flavor was perfect, portions plentiful. Also ordered a blueberry muffin with fresh smoothies. The muffin had perfect flavor and the smoothies were perfect with fresh ingredients. Tables set up for customers to enjoy their meal. The owner served us and took the time to make a recommendation, as well as explain his menu. It was the perfect local experience. A must try.
Excellent food. Cute place! Will definitely be returning. The owner is so attentive and nice, he does everything. The place is extremely clean. They have a great menu, the food is very fresh not to mention the portion size. WOW! You won't be disappointed.
Sticker Shock! I came in and picked up three tiny pastries. I did not dine in and I even took my food home and heated it myself. My total was $19 and change, and I was not handed an itemized receipt. Even farmer's markets aren't charging these insane prices. I later went on Yelp and discovered this has been an on going issue, and the owner tacks on a 20 service charge even if you get food TOGO. I know things cost more in the Florida Keys but this guy is pushing it-I've been to France so not sure how this baker justifies his food prices. The pastries were phenomenal, but I think the cost for what you get is completely ridiculous.
On our way to keywest we decided get breakfast at this place. This is one man show and he is quick. They have patio furniture but they do not serve outside. You have take a to-go if you want to eat outside. We were in a group of six. We ordered i e tea, latte, mocha, veg sandwich, midi sandwich, katoe sandwich, pancake, croissant. Tuna sandwich was a bit dry but fresh. Everything was good in taste and the service was super quick. The man serving was super efficient and was serving and preparing for multiple people. Overall a great place to have a quick stop and get some juice bites. The restroom was super clean hence another reason to stop at this place if you plan to take a restroom break.

Wonderful croissants (butter, chocolate, custard), raspberry pastry, great Americano! Would definitely return to try more food - quiche, crepe, you name it. Ambience is much like a diner with art for sale.
